Masterpieces Sept 23 2023
‘Masterpieces’ is an international collaboration with museums all over Europe, with the goal to get people to visit their local galleries. While I was studying and working abroad, I was surprised to find famous pieces in unsuspecting places I had barely heard of, and after some quick chats with fellow students or co-workers I discovered that they were as unaware as me.

Making use of easy-to-look-at visuals and fun copywriting, this project calls and targets for everybody: from young adults that will recognize inside jokes in the advertisement, to older demographics that will appreciate un-complicated graphics and marvel at the works of art exhibited. Each museum in the program has its own set of materials, and the one showcased here is the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels.

The classic mix of serif and sans serif not only works seamlessly to create pleasant billboards and brochures, but also reflects the desire to aim towards a big public. I made all of the digital and print designs in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and the mock-ups below were modelled, textured, and rendered out in Blender. Masterpieces also is conceptualized to have not only an Instagram page, but also a responsive website available to the whole continent that I built on Figma.
