FindYourWay

In partnership with AUP, me and my team created a concept for a wayfinding app. The university campus consists of multiple buildings and dozens of classrooms, workshops, and other spaces, so plenty of students get lost on the way, especially in the newer years. FindYourWay utilizes not only the already-existing system of cards, but also the screens present in almost all of the hallways to guide the user in real time, interacting with its environment.
The identity of the app, which was created after the school’s own brand book, is used to give a familiar feeling to the public and create a connection: a message that the directions can be trusted, because they come directly from the university. The two parts of this project work in unison: the app, which facilitates personalized routes and accessibility; and the screen animations, which aim to guide waves of students throughout each corridor. The screen on each monitor and each floor is different, depending on its orientation.
It is possible to get personal directions on the screens by using the app, in case that specific people need them, and by scanning their student card on one of the many readers already installed on campus.
The app was created in Figma and Adobe XD, while the mockups and animations were created in Photoshop and After Effects.
